Defending Yourself in Court

When it comes time to defend yourself against the bad laws that you were charged with, we can help in a number of ways. We have a collection of resources in our library that are available for loaning. These include:

  • Jurisdictionary is a self-paced course that provides you with information about the court's rules and procedurs. Without a knowledge of these rules, you are sure to lose. Many activists have used the techniques in this course to defend themselves in court, or to at least understand what their lawyer is doing and keep them as honest as possible.
  • Various court motions, including motion to dismiss, motion for summary judgment, and motion for nolle prosequi.

In addtion, you can submit an article to the Civil Disobedience Evolution Fund outlining your case for the purpose of generating support for your case. This support is important as it will allow others to see how you can fight the system. It can also provide people with information about your court appearances so they can be there to support you and show the State that we are watching them.
